Menopause in the Workplace Awareness Programme – Coming Soon

In recognition of World Menopause Day 2025 on 18th October 2025, the Garda National Wellbeing Office would like to announce the development of the An Garda Siochana Menopause in the Workplace Awareness Programme

Building on the success of the Menopause Guidance Document launched in February 2023, this new health and wellbeing initiative will feature a blend of bite-sized online workshops and interactive in-person Menopause Cafés, designed to inform, support, and empower Garda personnel in navigating menopause with confidence. We are delighted to welcome Ms Catherine O’Keeffe, The Wellness Warrior, who will share her expertise and guidance throughout the programme. Aligned with this year’s World Menopause Day 2025 theme — ‘Lifestyle Medicine’ — the programme will take a comprehensive look at how to support health and wellbeing during menopause. It will explore a range of management options, from lifestyle approaches such as  nutrition, exercise, stress management, and sleep, to medical and therapeutic supports where appropriate.

This holistic approach aims to empower individuals to make informed, sustainable choices that enhance both personal and professional wellbeing.

The programme will also build awareness of the three key stages of menopause — peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause — helping participants understand the physical, emotional, and cognitive changes that can occur at each stage, and how best to manage them.

The programme is currently in development, and further details on the official launch will be shared soon.
