June 2024
As we wrap up June 2024, we are delighted to report continued growth and success in our embedded mental health first aid programme. This month, we conducted an additional seven courses, welcoming 104 more participants into the programme. With this latest achievement, we have reached a remarkable total of 965 certified mental health first aiders within our Garda community.
The dedication and commitment demonstrated by our facilitators and participants continue to shine through, reinforcing the importance of mental health training in promoting a supportive and compassionate work environment. Each newly certified mental health first aider is now equipped with the tools and skills necessary to offer critical support, fostering a culture of care and understanding among colleagues.
The increase in courses and participants throughout June highlights our ongoing commitment to mental health awareness and the essential role that trained personnel play in providing assistance to those in need. As we build a network of certified mental health first aiders, we are taking significant steps toward ensuring that mental health remains a priority within our organisation.
At the Garda National Wellbeing Office, we commend everyone involved for their hard work and dedication to this vital initiative. Your efforts are making a substantial difference, and we are excited to see how your training will continue to impact the lives of your colleagues and the wider community.
Thank you for your continued commitment to promoting mental health awareness and support. We look forward to the ongoing success of our programme in the months ahead.
