November 2024
As we wrap up November 2023, we are excited to share that we successfully conducted a further 20 courses this month, resulting in 352 more participants being trained in mental health first aid. This brings our total for the year to an impressive 1,866 certified mental health first aiders within the Garda community.
In addition to this achievement, we are thrilled to welcome Cohort 4 of our facilitators, who began their training this month. This new cohort is eager to enhance their skills and will complete their training in December. We are excited to see them begin delivering their own courses starting in January, further expanding our capacity to provide essential mental health support.
The dedication and hard work of all our facilitators and participants continue to make a significant impact in promoting mental health awareness and fostering a supportive environment for our colleagues. Each course not only equips individuals with vital skills but also reinforces our commitment to creating a culture of care and understanding in the workplace.
At the Garda National Wellbeing Office, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in this initiative. Your efforts are instrumental in making a difference in the lives of many.
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to mental health awareness and support. We look forward to the exciting developments ahead!
