Building connections and careers: An Garda Síochána’s Women’s Network event

On Wednesday, 18 December, DMR, OSC & HQ Women’s Network hosted a inspiring session in Dublin, designed to help participants take control of their career journey.

The event provided those in attendance with the opportunity to reflect on their achievements, evaluate their current position and set clear goals for 2025 and beyond.

Led by Tracy Gunn, co-founder of Platform55, the session featured practical advice, engaging discussions, and inspiring stories by women within An Garda Síochána.

There were inspiring and heartwarming conversations in the room about career and general life stories about topics such as gaining confidence, balancing work and home, receiving feedback and gaining visibility in An Garda Síochána. The participants discussed the importance of our mindset, career aspirations, taking feedback, building our support squad, understanding our skills assets and making accountable steps in 2025. 

Whether participants were just starting out or seeking to take their career to the next level, they left the event with confidence, clear goals and valuable connections.
