On duty in the sunshine

 

As we experience heatwave conditions, please mind yourselves when working in hot weather over the coming days.

  • Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration. 

    • Adults need about 2 litres of water over 24 hours 

    • Drink more fluids when you feel any dehydration symptoms

  • Regularly apply water resistant sunscreen to skin that is not covered, using at least factor 30+

  •  Ensure to take adequate breaks if working in prolonged sun exposure.
